The Wing Family Dinner
When The Wing reached out to us and Carter Cooks (who we collaborated on our spooky Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner with) to see if we would like to facilitate an intentional dinner for 30 of it’s members the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we honestly couldn’t say YES fast enough! Intentional gathering is our JAM, and getting to share it with others is truly our favorite thing to do.
Carter took care of the food (and just plain killed it, as per usual) and we took care of the decor, menu, table questions, and structure of the evening! We started off with drinks and appetizers while the ladies mingling with each other. Then everyone sat down and went around the table and shared what they would normally be doing on a Tuesday night. This helped connect the women with each other and, along with the conversation starters at each plate, created conversation that flowed throughout the night.
As dessert was brought out, every other guest rotated to a new seat so they could get to know even more people at the table. They also filled out a postcard we gave them, with something they wanted to be reminded of during the holiday season. Some wrote about a work struggle they had just accomplished, a goal they reached, the joy they were feeling and the friends they had made sitting around them that very evening. Then The Wing mailed them back to each guest in the middle of the stressful holiday season, so they could be reminded of this night and their encouraging note to themselves in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
We absolutely loved facilitating this gathering and hope to do many more in the future!
