Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner Party w/ Carter Cooks

Who doesn’t love a good whodunit? Mix it with a masquerade theme on Halloween weekend and you’ve got yourself such a thrilling night!

For this gathering we partnered with Carter of Carter Cooks, who is an AMAZING chef with a fellow love of hosting. Ahead of the party she had everyone mention the food that scared them the most as a child and planned the whole menu around it. She made Chicken Liver Mousse on Tombstone Crostini, Avocado-Wasabi Deviled Eggs, Mushroom and Goat Cheese Pinwheels, Broccoli Rabe Arancini, Spicy Chicken Drumsticks and Fish Sticks, and “Frog Balls”. And for dessert she really out did herself with Creme Fraiche “Eye Ball” Panna Cotta with Kiwi and Pomegranate Blood. Y’all, I can’t even begin to describe how delicous(ly scary) all the food was. But it was to die for ;)

When the guests arrived they were each given a mask and their characters for the evening. We went through 3 rounds of mayhem, mystery and murder, all moving through out the house and yard. There were accents and gummy worms and spider webs galore! Folks got to know each other and came together to solve the mystery! We ended the night around the table eating and laughing and revealing our characters true motives.

We had never done a murder mystery dinner party before, but we gotta say, we are pretty big fans now!
